December 2021 Lehigh Valley Homebrewers Newsletter

Greetings Brewers! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Happy Holidays!

Our annual Holiday party is this Tuesday at Seven Sirens in South Bethlehem. Come join us to help celebrate another year of homebrewing! The Seven Sirens tap room is 8500 sqft, so there should be plenty of space for social distancing, however please do not attend if you are not feeling well or have been recently exposed to a positive case. Feel free to bring homebrew to share at the Holiday Party.

The club officers are starting to plan out next year's activities. We'll open up membership renewals in January and include a member survey to help get input into the planning of events, competitions, and educational sessions.

Our first event of the year will be the Fegley's Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, January 29th - so please get that new holiday brewing equipment sanitized and brew! In case Santa didn't bring you everything you want, check out the forum for some new items for sale or to post your old equipment for sale. While you're brewing, think about entering War of the Worts, hosted by Keystone Hops (registration links posted below).

Thank you to Mike Manning and Colony Meadery for hosting our November meeting and thank you to everyone who donated toys for tots!

John Litak

LVHB Club President

Future Meetings:

Meetings are open to anyone (21 and older) who home brews (beer, wine, cider, mead) or is interested in learning about home brewing.  Our club has over 30 certified judges and several members who have "gone pro" by opening their own brewery, meadery, or distillery! - So bring your latest craft creation and get some constructive feedback and/or accolades!

UPCOMING CLUB EVENTS

Here are some upcoming events, we'll add more specifics as we work out the details for these events.

Has anyone been able to get on the War of Worts link? I have not been able to open it and I emailed the contact person but have not gotten a response after 4 days. Is this competition still on?

thanks,
